In fact I don’t think J2ME is mainstream anymore, or is it?. Seeing as how most iPhone apps go for a few bucks (which I find rather interesting) I can’t believe whoever wrote these tools actually pretends people to buy them just like that!

Theres a common misconception that certain professionals ought to be able to afford certain overpriced tools / services just because they’re, well, professionals. But the truth of the matter is, most EEs here in Argentina end up fixing TVs in a shithole rather than designing your next cellphone at Apple.

Anyway, maybe it’s about time I moved away from Java. Anyone willing to send me an Android based phone? — Ok, then… maybe just the box so I can pretend to own one?

Don’t make me install a Java development environment and let myself go to Motorola’s ugly API!

Alright, I guess I don’t actually need these tools, but they would be pretty handy.

Maybe I should develop a web-based service and run it in the actual cellphone for now… Or maybe I should just keep on using a calculator, old school baby!

Como todos sabrán, hace unos días fue aprobada la ley del cambio de huso horario en Argentina.
La misma, dicta que debemos adelantar nuestros relojes 1 hora, para aprovechar al máximo la luz solar.

Esta modalidad viene siendo utilizada en otros países desde hace ya muchos años, no obstante aquí fue implementada “a las patadas”, por ende surge la necesidad de un patch para ahorrarnos dolores de cabeza.

Este patch se encarga de agregar la nueva zona horaria con soporte daylight-saving para Argentina.

Una vez ejecutado el patch, obtendrán un mensaje, si el mensaje fue satisfactorio, podrán acceder a la nueva zona horaria mediante el dialogo de propiedades de fecha/horario en Windows.

El propósito de este ejecutable es el de proveer una solución con respecto al nuevo huso horario a aquellos que no posean la capacidad y/o conocimientos adecuados o bien, no deseen perder el “tiempo” en algo que debió haberse desarrollado con “tiempo” y por ciertas empresas que mejor ni mencionar…

Queda terminantemente prohibida la venta de este software/patch, ya sea de manera individual o en conjunto a otras aplicaciones/herramientas. La distribución gratuita esta permitida siempre y cuando se distribuya el zip tal cual fue publicado por mi (Gustavo Julio Fiorenza).
