I don’t need to enumerate current flaws in the Internet, but its clear that most are caused by Humans, created by Humans and fed by Humans. If you don’t understand that you’ll be in ground-zero once you’re done with this new technology, then you might as well not try at all.
If any this guys should be improving in performance more than security.
Because in reality theres nothing secure and everything becomes reversed at the end, perf is what matters here much more than security.
The first thing that strikes my mind: If they’ll remake protocols, they’ll need new hardware as well!
Are this guys in that point of their lives where wasting money is not an issue anymore?.
Focus on performance, later-on solve the obvious security issues. But don’t come to me saying you’ll reinvent the Internet because you won’t.
It appears to me that Japan, as well as many other countries, are driven by hype and trends. This is ok to me, so long you don’t impose your lame acts on me.
People want what other people have, that’s the human nature resumed for the marketeer.
If any, Japan just ran out of hype and required a new trend set, to entertain their ants before they committed mass suicide.
Now, I don’t ignore the current issues with “our” current network. What I do Ignore is what drives this people -aside from, you’ve guessed it: money- to talk so freely about this in public.
They won’t have a working platform in 5 years, possibly not even in 10 if they’ll join forces with the US and Europe.
Most of the invested money will go to someone’s pockets and not to the project itself, thats your human nature right there.
They should care about optimizing current networks, by re-writing protocols and equipment to spare both energy and money. If they do it well, they’ll be able to handle a bigger amount of traffic, but they’ll end up in the same state that they are right now – The only difference being they’ll be providing answers to more requests.
Needless to say, I’ve had it with hype!
I’d say let them be!
We might get something good out of this.
Don’t forget about anime :s lol
